About Him
I'm a solo parent and my kids are a priority. They are my foundation.
I enjoy being funny, witty and at times sarcastic. Good discussions about the issues of the day or the meaning of life are "fun" topics I like to explore with the woman I am with. I love coffee (have a Nespresso machine - bonus!), IPAs, cooking in and eating out. Food: sushi, burgers, cheesesteaks, brussels sprouts, grilling in the backyard, crème brulee, any kind of fish (except eel, yuck). Enjoy old movies and new: Casablanca, North by Northwest, Dr. Zhivago, Godfather. Netflix guru: watching Love now; just finished Master of Zone.
I play golf. If you play golf, great. If not and you want to learn, I'll get you lessons. I work out 1-2 times per week with my trainer Paul. He likes to really beat me up in the gym but he keeps me honest and fit. I try to run as well but am not a marathon man.
I do really enjoy traveling and I don't do it enough. I've been to Italy, Ireland, Bermuda, Savannah, San Antonio, Charleston, New York, many times to Philly where I used to live. I spent a summer in Seattle during law school. I'm a planner. I find planning a trip is sometimes more fun than actually going on the trip. So I'm taking my kids to Arizona next month to see the Grand Canyon, hike the red rocks, play golf among the cacti and learn from the Hopi. I'd love to find someone who would like to travel in Europe and tag along with me from Vancouver to San Francisco on a west coast trip.
I am political. I'm a Republican. That either turns you on or off, I get it. But I tolerate all opinions and don't mind being with someone I don't agree with to keep the conversation more interesting. So don't write me off if you voted for Hillary! I'm not looking for someone to represent me in Washington, I'm looking for someone to love me here.
About His Ideal Match
You need to be fun and funny. Or at least find me to be funny, which should be easy because I am. You need to challenge me and not tolerate my ego. You should be willing to explore new things with me. You don't need to cook, though I would welcome it. Intelligence is very attractive to me. It would be good if you are social at business events with me.
Physical fitness is important to me. I'm not looking for a swimsuit model (though they may certainly apply), but initial physical attraction and chemistry is important.
I would prefer someone who is close to me. Philadelphia is about an hour from me. While I've had great success with long distance relationships in the past and am not completely writing that off, I'm much busier now with my business and children so I'm realistic. I'm probably not willing to relocate very far in the short term.
More than anything, be real, be you. I don't need someone who has to work overtime to impress me. I don't have a "type". I just want some genuine love, companionship and plenty of handholding on the beach (a little shameless there). Talk to you soon!
