About Him
First and foremost because I am awesome.
I was born and raised in Chicago, and now have my own house on the Northside with a couple of friends living with me. I work in construction as a superintendent for a large general contractor in the city and love every minute of it. It's not very often you can find a job that you can learn something new just about everyday.
I actually filled out the section below before this one so there is definitely more about me down there as well.
About His Ideal Match
I assume we are all on here because we like the Chive and thus have a great sense of humor. I think everyone has a different set of qualities about them that would make them a good match for me. You never really know who could be the right one until you meet them and get to know who they are and what their quirks are that make you say yeah this is the person I've waited my whole life to meet. But for the sake of putting down something as a guideline I guess I would look for the following:
Someone who likes music (I like all types but you'll normally catch me listening to country or classic rock) there is something about music that can just be so therapeutic and there seems to always be a certain song that always hits home for whatever you seem to be going through in life at that time that seems to get you through things.
I am also an avid sports fan so anyone that can at least understand my love for the Cubs, Bears and Hawks and my superstitions is perfectly fine by me.
I like to be outdoors when the weather is nice weather it be fishing, doing yard work at my house, a day at the beach/lake, an afternoon at the ball park, an outdoor concert or a bonfire in my yard. It's also why I chose my job I'd rather be on a jobsite anyday than sitting in an office staring at a computer.
Trust and saying what you mean is always important.
Someone who is outgoing and wouldn't mind taking the lead sometimes is very nice as well. I am very shy at first (especially when first meeting) so the outgoing thing really helps there haha.
Someone that will like me for who I am and what I bring to the table today. Not for what you hope I can one day change into because that just leads down a path no one should travel.
